This free online classifieds list is confined to only popular sites that are worth the effort to advertise on. They are sorted globally, then for USA focused sites, and also for the UK and elsewhere.
It goes without saying, but Craigslist takes the number one spot.
2-Kijiji (Ebay classifieds)
Not usually free, but very cheap, and huge viewership.
Large US focused free classified ad site.
A large and international Craigslist style site.
Huge traffic with international base through Yahoo directory.
Not as large as one might expect, but still under the Google banner and well worthwhile.
A way to upload your products to Google Product Search, Google Product Ads, and Google Commerce Search.
Formerly MySpace classifieds, still a huge traffic site for online ads.
On the net since 1996, this site has built up a solid traffic base, and is an often overlooked free advertising gem.
10-Backpage
Another Craigslist knock-off, but with very respectable traffic.
11-Adpost
A classified ad site that the user can filter, by price, product or location.
12-Sell.com
Heavily visited classified site.
13-Hoobly
Yet another Craigslist alternative.
Once a print advertiser, now online and still popular.
This is a big boy, with very wide exposure. Billed as the “largest original internet free classifieds network.”
